Project: Textbook Illustration
Title: A Primer of Genome Science, 2nd Edition; Gibson and Muse
Client: Sinauer Associates, Inc., Publishers
Pyramis was hired to develop the art program for the first general textbook of genome science. The authors and publisher wanted clear and visually compelling illustrations that would help bridge the gap between standard genetics texts and the highly technical literature of genomics. Recently, Pyramis refined and extended the art for the second edition of this influential introductory text.

Pyramis Studios

, formed in 1999, combines acclaimed visualization, design, and communication skills with training in the biomedical sciences to create high-impact media for clients with exacting standards for scientific accuracy. The

biomedical media that we create is genuinely informed by the science.

Many biomedical illustrators, animators and web developers possess artistic and/or computer training but lack expertise in the scientific disciplines that they are charged to represent. At Pyramis Studios, our training and academic experience provides us with the ability to understand the complex concepts and vocabulary at the core of the

biotechnology and healthcare

industries. Understanding the language of biology and medicine allows us to most efficiently and effectively translate your scientific message into the end product.
